Coaxial Cable

A Coaxial cable is a type of copper cable that includes a metal shield and other components designed to block signal interference. It is primarily used by cable TV companies to connect their satellite antenna facilities to customer homes and businesses. It is also sometimes used by telephone companies to connect central offices to telephone poles near customers.

Coax cables are constructed out of concentric layers of electrical conductors and insulating material. The signal it carries is therefore conducted by two physical concentric channels running along the same axis, hence “coaxial”. This design keeps signals enclosed within the cable and prevents electrical interference to the signal.

Coaxial cable assemblies

Coaxial cable assemblies must, of course, fit your specific needs. AvivC&EMS offers you a broad selection of coaxial cable connectors and coaxial cable assemblies from all major coaxial cable assembly manufacturers. We have coaxial cable assemblies suitable for a wide variety of applications and industries. These coaxial cable assemblies and coaxial cable connectors can be used to interconnect components, sub-systems, and equipment

Coaxial cable connectors

Coaxial cable connectors are specifically designed not only to connect coaxial cables to other devices but maintain the shielding on the cable. High-quality coaxial cable connectors offer reliable, long-lasting connections, depending on whether they include a metal pin in the center, or a receptacle to receive the pin. Various varieties within these types include the BNC, TNC, SMB, 7/16 DIN, QMA, MCX, RCA varieties, each with advantages to certain applications. An AVIVC&EMS representative will be glad to walk you through the process of selecting the Coaxial Cable Connector which is right for you
