Electrical Relay

Electrical relays are used to switch a small amount of power to a larger amount of power. Electrical relays contain several electronic parts including an electromagnet, which controls opening and closing of the relay and the armature which is the electronic component that opens and closes the circuit. A spring is also used in a relay. This is the component that returns the electrical relay to its default position after each cycle. In addition, a set of electrical contacts is needed in order to transfer the power.

Electrical relays are used in many modern electrical machines to control a circuit, either when the signal is underpowerd or when multiple circuits must be controlled by a single signal. Electrical relays are used, among other fields, in aviation, aerospace, and wireless technology industries.

Electrical relay box

An electrical relay box provides electrical circuit protection and load switching capabilities in harsh environments, protecting the crucial circuit control for electro magnetic interference and other disruptions to their smooth functions. Sealed electrical relay boxes generally utilize matching covers that provide an environmental seal.

Electromechanical relay

An electromechanical relay is on electrically operated switch. There are several different types of electromechanical relays, and the type used depends on the specific mechanical device it is used in. Some relays utilize an electromagnet (a magnet which produces a magnetic field when an electric current is applied to it), with the magnetic field disappearing when the current is switched off. Some relays are designed to control higher powered devices, such as electric motors. They are called ‘contactors.’
